Dektron’s ZDT XP Series tester applies a load to a paper or paper board sample, loaded between parallel compression plates. The load is maintained for a period of time, after which the compression plates reverse and pull the sample in the Z-direction. The separation force is measured by a Mark-10 Series 5 force gauge. The gauge is also used to program the target load. Data may be output to a PC via USB for further analysis.
